Easter Week Events
Hello folks!
The Lenten season is upon us and before we know it Holy Week will be here! So, youth leaders from Park Street Brethren, Trinity Lutheran, First United Methodist, 5 Stones, Christ United Methodist and the Kroc Center have all teamed up to provide you with some amazing experiences! Read on to find out about our 2 Holy Week youth events!
ServeAshland-April 17th; 9am-5pm
What is ServeAshland? ServeAshland is a time we set aside to serve our community and share the love of Christ! Our service projects will take us to a number of different locations around Ashland and we will have the opportunity to bless many people in our town. Service projects will be done from 9am-12:45pm and again from 3pm-5pm. Lunch will be provided at 1pm along with a teaching and devotional session at Trinity Lutheran Church. If you are interested in joining us for this day of service, please check the box below. The cost of this event is $5 to cover the cost of lunch and any other materials we may need. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing to work in and that you won’t mind getting dirty. We will meet at 8:45am sharp at Trinity Lutheran in Jack’s Place and head out from there to be at our first project by 9!
CrossWalk-April 18th; 10am-12noon
What is CrossWalk? CrossWalk is an interactive Passion experience done on Good Friday in remembrance of Jesus’ journey to Golgotha, the place of his crucifixion. As we walk the streets of Ashland carrying a heavy cross, we will experience more fully the sacrifice he made for us that day more than 2,000 years ago. Join us April 18th at 10am at Park Street Church (we will end at Trinity Lutheran) for this unforgettable experience. If you are interested in participating in this event, please inform your youth leader. There is no cost for the CrossWalk but please refrain from wearing flip flops or sandals to avoid injury.
- You may choose to participate in both events or just one of your choice
- You must have an updated medical release form on file with your church to participate in ServeAshland
Park Street students, please contact Cory Smith to confirm interest in participating. $5 cost for lunch during Serve Ashland is due by April 14.
