Student Ministries Fall Kick-off Update

September 17, 2015

Hey, Parkstreet family!

This past sunday, PSBC Youth had their first event of the year and it was AWESOME. The Fall Kick-Off was held at the Amstutz’ house with many fun activities such as football, frisbee, trampoline jumping and even hot-tubbing. We ate some very delicious food, thanks to Teresa Swain, and ate s’mores over the campfire. Cory Smith and intern Logan Imber (YAY that’s me!) opened with a time of worship. Billy Edgell then gave a brief message on the newness God has for us. Following that same theme, student Kaleigh Kaufman gave her personal testimony of how God has been moving in her life, giving her a new perspective on being a high school student who follows Jesus. She said God has helped her realize that everywhere can be a mission field, even the halls of a high school in Smalltown, America. Cory Smith finished off with a short message and a brief time of worship to close the time. After worship and sharing messages of newness, students continued to hang around until parents picked them up or it got too late.

All in all, it was a very successful kick-off. God is good and I have no doubt that He will show up in amazing ways this year with PSBC Youth, because He already has! Please keep praying for our students as well as praying for students in Ashland that don’t already know Christ. Let us pray that we can be a Light that casts away the darkness, so students can know the Love that we are so blessed with.

God bless!
