Communal Discernment Task Force Updates—
May 31, 2016:
Park Street’s Communal Discernment Task Force gathered 40 of our people to begin praying, listening to the Holy Spirit, and discussing our church & its future. June 6-9, our church had a time of intensive prayer, we want you to know that this group of 40 is spending time reflecting on our past & giving thanks for the many ways God has blessed us at Park Street. Please join us in contemplating this question: Reflecting on your experience here at Park Street, when have you felt the most engages, alive, & motivated? What was happening? Who was involved? How did it feel? Take some time to reminisce and give God thanks for these good memories.
June 14, 2016:
Over the past couple of weeks, our communal discernment groups have been praying & thinking about Park Street’s core values and how we can best live those out both individually & as a church body. We will reconvene on June 21, for further discussion. Please support this process in prayer, & also take time to think about our four core values: MULTIGENERATIONAL COMMUNITY, ENGAGED WORSHIP, SHARED WORD, SENT PEOPLE
If you have time, we would love to have your input into this process. This about these four values and how you have experienced them at Park Street. What people best embody these values? What experiences have you had where you see these values at work? How do you feel that we as a church can honor God by living these values out even more?
