Missional Partners Spotlight: CHICONTLA
When you hear or see the word "Chicontla" around Park Street, it refers to a village central to the Sierra Norte de Puebla region of Mexico where we have a missional partnership. The partnership is nurtured through a non-profit organization, Coffee Growing Community, that focuses on bringing more abundant life to struggling coffee-farming communities in the Sierra Norte region through economic, spiritual and social development. CGC helps farmers refine and market their coffee while working together to address other issues that prevent their community from thriving. Over the last several years, the people of Park Street have been gradually cultivating relationships with families and churches in Chicontla and the Sierra Norte region, while financially supporting projects ranging from public health improvements to supplementing living expenses of pastors to funding construction of classroom occupied by the local Compassion International center. Familias de Éxito church, a network of congregations throughout the area consider Park Street a sister church and specifically pray for us and our mission on a weekly basis.
