Thoughts from Gandhi

The world we live in takes a great toll on our journey at times. This morning, I stumbled across what Mahatma Gandhi considered to be the seven blunders of the world. I encourage you to reflect on the seven blunders. I believe Gandhi’s observations have a lot to teach us in the western world.  The Seven Blunders are:

1. Wealth without work
2. Pleasure without conscience
3. Knowledge without character
4. Commerce without morality
5. Science without humanity
6. Worship without sacrifice
7. Politics without principle

Each observation has an inherent tension of creativity and order, freedom and restraint, allowance and accountability.  May we be a people who embody the tension that Gandhi sought in life.
