At PSBC, baptism is a public expression of your acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Savior, and a public expression of your long-term desire to live in allegiance to Jesus Christ as Lord.
Your participation in the rich symbol of baptism is saying "no" to your sin nature and saying "yes" to Jesus Christ, and the new spiritual nature He gives to you. It is an expression of your love for Jesus Christ by obeying His commandment to be baptized.
Baptism is to be shared with your church family and friends. We live the Christian life together and openly.
We believe in baptism by triune immersion on the basis of your faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord. If in some other setting, you have already been baptized by immersion following your statement of faith, you may join the membership of PSBC without being baptized again.
