Communion

The Lord Jesus has a special invitation for all of those who have accepted Him as Savior and Lord. He invites you to a special time of worship around His Communion Table. Because of His death for us on the cross and His resurrection, He has an intimate relationship with all who believe in Him. This relationship is expressed as you gather with other disciples of Christ at His Communion Table. During the Communion Service, we re-enact the actions of Jesus with His disciples at the very first Lord's Supper in the upper room of that house in Jerusalem.

We will do this with tremendous joy in our hearts. He has saved us by His grace! This Holy Communion Worship will take place on March 16, & October 5, 2008, at 6 pm in the Family Life Center. Join your brothers and sisters in Christ for this time of communion with Jesus, our living Lord! Child care is provided.

As He commanded us to do we:

  • wash feet (symbolizing our cleansing from sin and our servant attitude).

  • take part in a small meal (symbolizing our fellowship with Christ and with one another in the family of God).

  • remember His sacrificial death for us as we partake of the elements of the bread (representing His body, broken for us) and the cup (representing His blood that He shed for us, to cover our sins).
