Ministry Goals

We want to teach, mentor, expose, and challenge every child to:

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus
  • Know God's Word by memorizing Scripture, learning basic Bible stories, and knowing "how to study"
  • Pray
  • Apply the Word of God to daily life
  • Worship
  • Fellowship and have fun
  • Be prepared for adolescence
  • Know how to share their faith
  • Offer opportunities for serving in the church and in the community
  • Learn about missions

1. All Children's Ministry programming will be age-appropriate and creatively designed to support and enhance their Biblical knowledge, to teach spiritual formation, to focus on making practical applications to their lives or to provide service and ministry opportunities in partnership with the family unit.

2. All Children's Ministry volunteers will go through significant and meaningful training based on the vision, mission, and values of Park Street Brethren Church and age-appropriate for their particular area of ministry prior to serving in both individual and team ministry positions.

3. Children's classrooms and facilities will be updated and designed to adequately support the growing and changing of our expanding weekday programs as well as the Sunday morning and evening programs.
