More than 200 Park Street and Five Stones people teamed up to serve our community the weekend of May 2-4. We transformed a courtyard into a beautiful garden (complete with a walkway and a pergola sitting area) for residents of Heartland Home. We also painted walls, stripped and waxed floors, and hosted a cookout for the Heartland residents. We distributed over 1,000 collection bags and fliers, then picked up thousands of books for Pump House Ministries’ used book store.
We took residents of the Homestead Men’s Shelter to dinner and a movie, cleaned the shelter, and made all of the beds with fresh linens, pillows, and blankets. We sorted donations, built shelves, cleaned, and spruced up the flowerbeds at the Domestic Violence Rape Crisis Safe Haven. We helped the Red Cross with their spring work day. And we began clean-up on a trailer lot in hopes of providing a local family with a place to live. Thank you, Park Street and Five Stones – you served God well.
