Children's Ministry

At Park Street Brethren Church, we don't just provide childcare, we disciple our kids to reflect the love and truth of Jesus in their lives.

Here are some of the ways that we invest in younglings on a weekly basis.

Nursery: Infants - 2 Years

We get it. Babies can be crazy. And while we encourage parents to bring kids of any age into our worship services, we also know it's nice to be able to drop off the wee ones in a safe and loving environment where they won't be a distraction. We offer a nursery from 9:00 am to noon where babies can sleep, play, and be messy while their parents and caretakers can worship without interruption. We also have a Nursing Mothers Room and Changing Area in both our sanctuary and gymnasium. As a church that has recently experienced a "baby boom," we know how important it is for your whole family to enjoy and grow through their Sunday morning worship times. If you have your hands full with new life, you'll be in good company at Park Street.

Sunday School: 2 Years - 5th Grade

The Park is our Sunday morning ministry for children between the ages of 21/2yrs. – 5th Grade. It is offered throughout the entirety of Sunday morning, from 9:00 am – noon, with various start/stop points for kids to join or leave when necessary. Children can come for the full-time span or can be present simply for the duration of the service their family attends. The Park is a hands-on learning experience that consists of age appropriate games, worship, lessons and snacks. The kids will be able to grow together as a full group, as well as in smaller groups according to their age. The Park is led by head teachers and then assisted by volunteer members. Each child must be checked in and then signed out by their parent or guardian each Sunday.

Park Street Preschool is a ministry of Park Street Brethren Church led by its own Director and Leadership Board. It is a state-licensed daycare facility with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services and provides both Preschool and Day Care options. Here the mission is to provide experience-based education while creating an environment that allows the children to grow and gives helpful support for the parents. The preschool is for kids who are potty-trained and at least 21/2 years old through pre-kindergartners. Classes are held Monday-Friday from 9:00-11:30 am. The Day Care option is available hourly, half-day, or full day beginning at 7:00 am thru 6:00 pm.
