This ministry consists of several teams working together to make everyone feel welcome when they come to Park Street. We desire to create the most positive worship experience for everyone who attends, whether a first time guest or a member or regular attender. From the parking lot to the Worship Center, one of our members is always available to help. Our volunteers serve on a rotating basis in their designated ministries. We currently have many volunteers serving in this ministry. This is one of the simplest ways to serve at Park Street. For more information about joining one of our teams contact Associate Pastor Jim Frado at jfrado@parkstreetbrethren.org.
Guest Services
Greeters
Greet and welcome all people attending worship at PSBC, helping to answer questions and direct people toward their desired worship service or classroom.
Ushers
Welcome all people to the Worship Center, help people to locate a seat, collect offering, gather attendance sheets, and assist with other parts of worship.
Guest Follow-up
Our office staff keeps records of first-time and return guests and sends letters from the pastor thanking them for visiting our church.
Welcome Gifts
First-time guests receive a gift bag filled with church information and a special treat.
Hospitality
Create a warm, welcoming environment for guests of PSBC by greeting, preparing refreshments on Sunday mornings.
Welcome Centers
Places where people may gather and learn about the mission and ministries of PSBC. The "Welcome Desks" are staffed by friendly folks who are available to answer questions and help guests in any way they can. They also hand out the welcome gift bags.
Newcomer Lunches
We provide quarterly lunches to introduce newer folks to our staff and ministries. Each lunch is hosted by a different small group. We also welcome new members at these lunches.
Congregational Care
The Congregational Care volunteers serve to nurture the spiritual, physical, emotional, and social needs of all people. By sharing the love of Christ through outreach in time of need, we hope to help others realize the blessing that comes from being Disciples of Christ.
Cards & Letters
To keep in touch and to show we care, cards, and letters are sent during times of crisis, distress, and celebration.
Baby Meals
Having a new baby can be very stressful. To help alleviate some of this stress, meals are provided by volunteers for families after the birth or adoption of a baby.
Baby Blankets
Volunteers, lovingly, crochet baby blankets to be given to families after the birth or adoption of a baby.
Surgery Meals
Meals are provided for members when they are unable to cook for themselves due to illness or surgery.
Funeral Meals
Meals are provided for families following funerals that are held for our families.
