Transition Team for Intentional Interim Process
A Transition Team is an important and central part of the interim process at Park Street. The team works closely with the Interim Pastor and the Leadership Board to guide the interim process toward the next chapter of Park Street’s life. The Leadership Team will do the following:
- Determine the issues that need to be addressed in the interim period.
- Develop a strategy to get those key issues accomplished.
- Develop a careful analysis to the church – its history, health, demographics and its setting.
- Create compelling and memorable mission and vision statements.
- Begin the creation of a large picture strategy of the near future of Park Street Church.
- Coach the Pastor Search Committee when they begin to look for the next Senior Pastor of the church. (Note: the Leadership Team is not the Pastor Search Committee. It prepares the way for the search process.)
The following persons have been selected for the Transition Team by David Fisher in consultation with the elected leadership of the church: Aaron Bates, Jason Barnhart, Joanne Eades, Judi Gentle, Jim Hess, Wende Lance, Chad Lemon, Paula Strickland, & Ken Van Duyne (The Chairperson of the Leadership Board will be an ex officio member of the team). Keep the Transition Team as well as the elected leadership of the church in your prayers in these significant days of change and preparation at Park Street.
