Conference Update

This week's blog post is coming to you live from Indiana Wesleyan University at the BYIC Engage Youth Conference. We've got a pretty small group here this year but we've had an amazing time so far! Worship has been great and God has been meeting us in some awesome ways.

Last night we had the opportunity during the service to write down and name those things which are keeping us from fully taking hold of Christ (fear, shame, sin, anger, pain, anxiety, etc). Then we brought those to a friend with the opportunity to pray for one another and bear each others burdens. Afterwards, we celebrated freedom as we crumpled and ripped up our slips of paper as a symbol of the freedom and joy experienced as we laid down our burdens and grasped hold of God's hope and love! It was a powerful moment, and we even had one girl at the conference make a first-time decision to follow Jesus (and it was only the second night)!

Can't wait to see what else God has in store as we move forward. Hope more people can join us next year!
