Children's Christmas Musical 2025- Carol of the Toys: A Christmas Story

Park Street's preschool through 5th grade children will be celebrating Christmas with the musical Carol of the Toys on Sunday, December 14 at 6 pm. (Please note the change--this will NOT take place on Christmas Eve!)

This is a brand new musical, so unfortunately there are no full-length video productions to watch.

Here is a preview that includes some clips of the musical. (Please note our production may not look just like this!) It has a "Toy Story" vibe to it, so the kids should think that's fun! Basically the storyline is that the original toys are excited about the arrival of the once-a-year Christmas toys, but soon realize that Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus are no where to be found, so the search for Jesus (and his parents) ensues.

Plans are underway for rehearsals and at this point, they look like this:

Preschoolers will practice on Sunday mornings during Kids Min. (No form is necessary for preschoolers.)

K-5th graders will rehearse on Sunday evenings from 6-7 pm in the Worship Center on 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7, and a longer, full dress rehearsal on Saturday, December 13, in the morning. (These may vary slightly as needed, and there may be a couple additional or extended rehearsals for main characters.)

It is expected that all children will listen and learn the songs on their own prior to rehearsals, and that those with solos and lines will do the same. Please discuss the various options of participation with your child(ren), explaining the level of commitment that is expected, and only sign them up for what they would like to do. We will try to accommodate requests, but it is not guaranteed.
