Writing Cookies of Encouragement Ambush Notes

Thank you for being willing to write to AU students!
So…what do you do?
1. Please start by PRAYing for the student who will receive your card.
MENTION that you did this when you write to them!
2. INCLUDE a scripture passage. Our focus will be on the fruit of the Spirit this
year. Write out the verse for them. God’s Word never comes back void... let’s
give them something that lasts!
3. ADD any words of encouragement. Handwritten notes are so rare,
meaningful, valuable! College life can be tough! And joyous!
4. Sign how you feel comfortable; i.e., your first name, a praying mom/dad, etc.

Things to OMIT:
*Please refrain from mentions of seasonal things. Notes may be used at future
ambush times so we don’t want them to sound “old”.
*Please refrain from mention of any specific church or ministry. The goal is for
this to be a no strings attached “hug from people in the community”. It is not a
marketing opportunity. (I don’t put my baking business on them.)
*It’s probably wise to not include any personal contact info.
